Why do you need to convert your videos

Downloading and uploading files via internet is something anyone can do nowadays, due to the perks of technology. Long gone are the times when people did not have access to music or movies, because there was no easy way to share them. Everyone can see the movie as soon as it has been launched, since there are plenty of online channels where digital files can be uploaded, and many more ways in which you can download a file directly to your computer. In addition to this, the era of smart phones is blooming, and this eases even more data sharing in the virtual environment. However, there are some issues when uploading files on a distribution channel, because the format may not be suitable, so you may have to use an mp4 converter. When it comes to sending a video via email, for example, most of the times this is prevented by the large size the video has, and in order to be able to do it without damaging its quality, it is recommended to use a video converter to compress the video without a change in quality. These can be programs that you install on your computer together with additional codecs, but the simplest thing to do would be to use an online converter.

Most of the times, video files must be converted because the original form is not suitable to the device to which they are transferred, or to the distribution channel. Besides the format, the size is also often a problem, because if the file is too large, this represents an obstacle in sharing, storing or playing it, which is why you should think about resizing it. Using a video converter is necessary whenever you have to send a larger video by email, because the compressed version will take less time to upload, and to download, when it reaches its destination. If you use a smart phone, for example, and you want to play a movie, it often occurs that you cannot do this, because the format of the original file does not fit on the phone. Furthermore, many Chromebook users have experienced difficulties in playing certain video formats, since it still needs some improvements to reach the performance of other devices. For this reason, if you are using a Chromebook, you should also use an mp4 converter, to help you change the format and size of the digital files to one recognized by your device.

At the same time, smart phones are gaining more and more ground in our daily lives, due to their versatility and many benefits. The manufacturers know this and they are constantly adding performance enhancing features, such as sophisticated recording functions. Videos filmed with mobile phones are normally recognized by any modern device, but when you transfer them to your computer and depending on its age, it may not recognize their format. This is why you should use a video converter; to make your movies work on whatever device you want. Moreover, a qualitative converter will not diminish the quality of your files: the sound is not altered, and the image is as clear as the one in the original movie, so you do not have to be worried about this.

Learn All About Creative Handicraft

If you need a gift for a special person, or just need some time to unwind, make a creative handicraft. Crafting is therapeutic when you are feeling stressed, and it also can yield a useful or decorative item. Everyone has some measure of creativity, and with modern kits and patterns, a creative handicraft does not have to end in frustration.

If you have a sewing machine, you can learn to make a creative handicraft that will be a useful and welcome gift. Potholders are a great beginning sewing project that can be made from scrap material or unwanted clothing and a bit of double-fold bias tape. Here are the simple instructions for this creative handicraft.

First cut two 8-inch (21 cm.) squares of fabric to be the front and back of the potholder. Choose coordinating fabrics that match your kitchen for these pieces. To make it easier, you can make an 8-inch square pattern from a piece of cardboard to use as a pattern. Cut more 8-inch squares of any old fabric to stack for the filling. You want the stack of fabric squares to be thick enough to protect you from a hot pot, but thin enough to be flexible and able to be sewn through.

Stack all layers so that the outer layers are facing to the outside and the filler layers are inside. You can put a couple of large straight pins through all layers to keep them together. Now sew right across the middle of the stack. Sew across the middle again, perpendicular to the first stitching. You will have divided the square into 4 squares. Sew across the stack again from corner to corner, and again from the other corner to corner. The layers should be joined and sturdy now.

To bind off the raw edges of your creative handicraft, trim with scissors so that all the layers are again even at the edges. Open out one folded edge of the bias tape. The wider bias tape might seem to be easier to use, but the narrow type makes a neater finished product. Starting at one corner, line up the edges of the tape with the edges of the potholder, and start stitching through all layers along the first fold line, which will be about 1/4 inch from the edge. Stitch neatly and slowly, attaching the opened tape all around the edge until you reach the beginning corner. Cut the bias tape off, leaving 3 inches, (7 cm.) to make into a hanging loop.

Fold the bias tape over the raw edge so that the middle fold lines up with the outside of the potholder and the other fold is hiding the raw edge of the bias tape. Now, for best results, hand sew the binding down, forming a loop on your creative handicraft when you get to the end.

This potholder is just one example of a creative handicraft you can create if you have a sewing machine. When it is finished, you will have a useful item made from all recycled materials. Feel free to give this creative handicraft away or keep it for yourself.

Ebb and flow VS Drip system

Do you really need to read an entire article to determine which of two very similar hydroponics systems are best for you? I think so, because each of them have some small particularities that can make a world of difference for you in the long run. Find out which one is better suited for you in this versus article between a hydroponics drip system and an ebb and flow.

Building and Installation Difficulty

Both types of systems work on pretty much the same principles and are quite easy to set up if you’re buying a ready-made kit that you just need to install. Although both systems are slightly harder to build from scratch in comparison to water culture, the ebb and flow has a slight edge, due to the fact that the drip component in the system bearing its name is harder to get working. So ebb and flow hydroponics systems win a point at this category.

Reliability

When I say reliability, I’m thinking of how often a particular system breaks down and how much risks does it take. Another aspect of reliability I will take into account is the damage these systems produce if they do indeed break downbecause it’s not the same thing if your hydroponic system breaks and floods your entire greenhouse, or if it breaks and spills a few drips on the floor. And I guess you already noticed where I’m going with this, namely that an ebb and flow system does a lot more damage if something breaks, thus it is less reliable than a hydroponics drip system.

However, there are certain ebb and flow products out there that come with an automatic water pump controller that spots when something goes wrong and cuts off the water pump so it doesn’t make mess. And honestly, if you’re serious about gardening, you shouldn’t be caught without such a protection system. Still, for making us take this extra measure, the ebb and flow system loses one point to the continuous drip.

Efficiency

Efficiency refers to how well and how fast plants will grow in a specific system as well as how much of the supplies you will use will go to waste. From the perspective of growing efficiency, both systems do fairly well, so none gets the extra edge (after all, they work on almost the same principles, so there shouldn’t be large variations in performance either). But when it comes to supplies efficiencythe ebb and flow hydroponics system will prove to be quite the waster. Because it constantly floods the plant tray then pulls back the excess water/nutrients in the nutrient container, the pH levels in here will be on a constant fluctuation. This will force you to change the solution more often, since an unstable pH can have some nasty effects on your plants. On the other hand, although a hydroponics drip system will still have this problem; it will have it at a much lower rate, which gives it the edge in efficiency over the ebb and flow. 2-1 for drip!

Power Consumption

The fact that the drip system uses a special pump header to control the flow of water doesn’t affect power consumption at all. So the power these two systems eat up should be similar. But obviously, the main power hungry component is the lighting system, so whatever lighting system your hydroponics kit comes with will determine its power consumption ratio. Since the systems themselves are on equal terms in this category, neither one gets any points, leaving the final score 2-1 for the hydroponics drip system!

Tips To Successful Market Gardening For The Beginner

Market gardening is a great business, but you need to start with the right information. If you are a beginning market grower, or thinking about becoming one, follow this advice to maximize your market gardening results.

Successful Market Gardening Tip 1: Grow natural. Demand for organic produce is increasing by as much as 20% annually. And fresh local organic produce commands a premium price with your customers. So don’t compete with everybody else at the bottom of the market; go after the top. Grow better vegetables, get a better paycheck!

Successful Market Gardening Tip 2: Grow for your end customer. Avoid middlemen and wholesalers and go right to your end customer. You will make and keep more money by dealing directly with consumers. And as a bonus, you will get to know them, find out their likes and dislikes, and perhaps find out other things you might provide them. This is a great way to add a sideline business to your market garden.

Successful Market Gardening Tip 3: Grow a large variety of crops. If you grow enough different crops, you are less threatened if one particular crop fails to produce. For example if you grow 30 varieties of vegetables and 3 don’t thrive, you are still operating at 90% capacity. Growing a large variety of crops also ‘stretches out’ your season, as different vegetables mature at different times. While the mix will change as the season progresses, aim to have a dozen or so different vegetables ready for sale all the time.

Successful Market Gardening Tip 4: Don’t grow unless you know you can sell it. For example, while you may love Eggplant Parmesan, make sure enough of your target market will buy eggplant before you plant an acre of it. Observe whats selling at your local farmers market, and grow (mostly) the same things. It’s OK to experiment ponce in a while with an unusual crop, but be prepared to eat the results!

Successful Market Gardening Tip 5: Remember, market gardening is just as much about the marketing as the gardening. This is the most important tip of the 5. If you don’t believe great marketing is just as important as growing great vegetables, consider this: you might grow the healthiest, tastiest, most beautiful vegetables imaginable, but . . . if nobody knows you got ’em, nobody can buy ’em!

Marketing is how you let people know about the great vegetables you have for them. And if you are growing really great vegetables, you should be proud to tell them! To be really successful as a market gardener, the marketing has to come first. In other words, you need to know how, where and to whom you will sell it before you grow it.

Follow these 5 tips to to ‘grow’ a successful market gardening business of your own.

Practical Tips To Reduce Your Waist Size

Are you concerned and worried about your waist size, as it is starting to flop over your jeans? You may be feeling overwhelmed because you actually break the zippers of your jeans when you try to squeeze inside them. You want to get rid of the flab and reduce your waist size a top priority at this point in time. The following will help you get some practical tips on how to reduce your waist size.

Activate your Body Metabolism

There are some great ways to shed that extra flab from the waistline by making small changes in your present lifestyle and eating habits. The body metabolism is an internal engine that naturally burns the fat quickly. And it is important to mention that your morning activities are directly associated with your body metabolism. To kick start your metabolic activities, you need to eat a good breakfast every morning. Many people think that skipping breakfast is a good idea to reduce weight, but this is completely wrong. Get up early in the morning, do some physical activities such as a brisk walk or gardening, and have your breakfast early.

Evening is for proteins and not for a lot of carbohydrates. During early morning and afternoon, your body’s metabolism is on the rise and therefore you need energy foods such as carbohydrates so that you can get quick energy to perform your work. However, as the day progresses, your body’s metabolism slows down and if you eat foods rich in carbohydrates then they are more likely to be stored in your belly and other regions of the body. Therefore, it is recommended to eat carbs early and eat a protein rich diet in the evening.

Perform Treadmill Exercise

If you really want to reduce your waist size then you not only need to burn calories but to boost your body metabolism so that your body continues to burn fat even after you finish your exercise routine. The best way to achieve this is to go for treadmill interval training. Instead of running at the same pace, alternate back and forth between a high and a low pace. This practice will help you burn up to nine times more fat.

Perform Weight Lifting Exercise

The main purpose of weight lifting is to get more muscle. By performing weight training, you not only build muscle, but you also preserve the muscle you have already built.

You can definitely trim your waistline by changing the way you eat and move. It is true that time does not wait for anyone, so get started today.
